buffalosoldiersdetroit.org – In early to mid-March 2025, the naval forces of Iran, Russia, and China are scheduled to conduct a joint military exercise named “Security Belt-2025” in the northern Indian Ocean, near Iran’s southeastern Chabahar Port. This marks the fifth such collaborative drill among these nations since 2019.

Objectives and Activities

The primary aim of “Security Belt-2025” is to deepen military trust and enhance practical cooperation among the participating countries. The exercise will encompass various training courses, including maritime target strikes, Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (VBSS) operations, damage control, and joint search and rescue missions.

Participating Forces

China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLA Navy) plans to dispatch a destroyer and a supply ship for the exercise. Iranian and Russian naval forces will also contribute significant assets, reflecting a mutual commitment to bolstering maritime security in strategically vital regions.
